MACRA Supports Cyber and National Security Training

The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) has hailed the cyber and national security training held at the Malawi School of Government in Lilongwe. Speaking on behalf of the Director General, at the closing ceremony for National Defence College’s training on cyber security and national security, MACRA’s Director of Finance and Administration Mrs. Mphatso Phiri praised the training as timely and strategic.

Phiri, said the knowledge gained in security trainings is not just a set of skills but also a responsibility to protect, defend and uphold the principles that form the foundation of the country’s security. The training which has run for two weeks, was conducted in collaboration with Malawi Cert with financial assistance from MACRA targeted participants from the Malawi Defence Force, Malawi Police Service, Department of Immigration and National Intelligence.
