As a country Malawi is celebrating the day under the sub theme “let’s talk about it, making space for conversations about online safety”.
This year, the theme is focusing on creating a platform where parents, teachers, guardians, policymakers, and the Government can hold conversations on how to ensure online safety for all, especially children and young adults.
Among the activities to commemorate SID was a press briefing and a stakeholder panel discussion on how key players can ensure online safety for children and young adults. The panelist included mwCERT, MACRA, ICTAM, Article lll, Malawi Police Service, TNM and Airtel.
The Authority and it’s partners will carry out a school outreach programme with various schools in Blantyre, Zomba and Mangochi.
