The Africa Internet Governance Forum (AFIGF) 2022 has ended with a call for all nations to implement the recommendations that have been made during the gathering.
Minister of Information and digitization Honourable Gospel Kazako made the call when he officially presided over the closing ceremony of the high levelled event.
Among other issues, discussed during the discussions were on Promoting creativity, innovations and entrepreneurship in Africa and bridging the digital skills and human capacity development gaps.
Another outcome from the event is the launch of the Parliamentarian Network on Internet Governance during Parliamentarian Symposium which attracted members of Parliament from across Africa, African youth Internet Governance Forum and the Africa School on Internet Governance.
The AFIGF was organised jointly by African Union and Malawi government under the theme, ‘ Digital Inclusion and Trust in Africa.
